I hope you are having an amazing week so far. My prayer is that God may continue to strengthen you and equip you with everything you need to live a fruitful life. Last week I was asked if we were doing the Operation Christmas Child boxes this year. Here is the answer for those of you who may be planning on doing some. This year we will not be collecting those boxes here at the church. There are several places in town that will be receiving packed shoe boxes and I encourage you to pack a few and participate if you are able to. As a Church, this is what our Christmas project will be this year. Ready? As some of you may know, the Church of the Nazarene has a Child Sponsorship program. Some of you already sponsor one or more kids through this ministry. This Christmas our goal as a church will be to sponsor at least 50 kids. Can you imagine the impact we can have if we come together and sponsor one child each? I encourage you to begin praying and consider sponsoring a child this Christmas. Below is a link where you can learn more about how to sponsor a child and sign up. Make sure to specify The Gathering as your church home when you sing up to sponsor. Midweek StudyWe only have two more weeks of Midweek Bible Study this year. Make plans to join us in person or online at 7 on Wednesday night. Pop Up Food Distribution in OdessaThe Gathering Church and the Permian Basin Oil & Energy Ministry are hosting a pop up food distribution event this Saturday, November 13th at The Gathering Church - Odessa Campus. Families who are experiencing hardship are welcome to come and receive free food and other items for their household. Distribution will begin at 9AM and will end at 11AM or while supplies last. We need help to make this even a successful one. If you can volunteer this Saturday please CLICK HERE. Volunteers meet at 8:30am. We finish distribution at 11am. We are coming together to worship and pray about the future of our new Odessa Campus.
