No video update today, so I hope you read through it all to stay updated as to what is happening at The Gathering. POP UPOn Saturday we had our monthly Pop Up Food distribution outreach. We do this on the third Saturday of every month. I can’t believe this ministry began last year in the midst of the pandemic and it has not stopped. Thank you to all of you who have come to serve. If you have not had a chance to be part of this, I encourage you to try to make it to the next one. Starting next month we will become the central hub for other pop up events in the area. Be in prayer for God to continue to strengthen this ministry and for us to be able to partner with more churches who want to reach their communities.  MIDWEEKThis Wednesday we will continue our midweek study with Pastor Larry. This is a great in depth study on why we believe the Bible is God’s word. We have created a playlist in our YouTube Channel for you to follow and also watch at a later time if you can’t make it in person or join live each week. As always, if you can’t make it to the Study and need a live link with a reminder before each gathering, text LIVE to 432-242-8242. SERMON SERIESLast Sunday we finished our series on 2 Peter and what a series it was! If you missed any of the messages, you can find them all in our app or on our YouTube channel. What do you do when you don’t feel God? How can we manage to live with faith even when our feelings try to pull us in a different direction? This Sunday we are starting a new series on this topic and you don’t want to miss it. Make plans to join us and bring a friend, I believe God will do amazing things through this series.  THE GATHERING CHURCH - ODESSA CAMPUSThat’s right! You read that right. We are in the process of expanding our reach to Odessa. In the next few weeks we will be releasing more about this opportunity for ministry. Make sure you follow me on social media as I will be making a lot more use of it to get information out. THE GATHERING AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMFor the last 8 years, The Gathering has been running an after school program at TLCA (across from our parking lot). This has been a great ministry and we have touched many children lives through it. This year we are transferring our license to run the program in our church building. This will be a major shift and a great blessing! Even though enrollment declined last year due to covid, we pushed through and kept the program going. Please be in prayer for this great ministry. Help us get the word out by sharing this link, and be in prayer that we find the right people to continue to build this program. We are extremely grateful for what God has done through our MDO and it is our desire to provide quality care for our kids. You can go to our website to find out more information about our MDO here. GIVINGChurch, we are grateful for your continued financial support. Over the last months we have seen a decline in giving but we won’t stop pursuing God’s purpose for us.
We encourage you to not give up on giving. God is using you and wants to continue to do so. Be in prayer as to how you can give over and above your tithe.
